Approaching life with a curious mind and joyful spirit has guided Racheal’s career for more than 20 years. Racheal has a unique way of collaborating with clients to make meaningful changes in their lives through developing new skills and modifying their environment while supporting social relationships. As a Board Certified Occupational Therapist, Racheal has worked with hundreds of families. She is regarded as an expert in the area of trauma, autism and sensory processing. Her therapeutic approach is to partner with families. Often times when the mom’s needs are supported the child begins to thrive, because we all know “when mama ain’t happy…”

Racheal’s own journey into motherhood further revealed an even greater understanding of the physical, emotional, and social impacts of assuming the role of mom. Her practice naturally expanded into women’s health. As a Women’s Health Occupational Therapist (WHOT), Racheal helps women with challenges such as perinatal mood disorders, incontinence, sexuality, and navigating the ever changing demands of motherhood.

Racheal finds great joy in helping women, children and families through individualized therapy, support groups and consultative services.

Racheal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UAA and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University. She is a founder of “Mothering Wellness in Alaska – Postpartum Support International, Alaska Chapter.” She has presented at the Alaska Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Conference and has been a guest on Alaska Public Media’s “Line One: Your Health Connection.” Racheal is an avid learner and is continually expanding her clinical knowledge. In the coming year she will pursue advanced trainings in modalities which addresses the sensory and emotional aspects of trauma. She has advanced training in Social Thinking ™ and is a certified DIR Floortime ™ provider.

Racheal believes that children are our greatest teachers and her three children keep the school of life real! They can often be found spending time in nature, skiing, hiking and gathering with friends.
